Hello Candidates, 

We have an urgent opening for 'Chief Stewards' for one of our client, to be based in 'Abu Dhabi'. The ideal candidate should have Degree/Diploma in hospitality/Catering with previous experiences in the Stewarding Department of Industrial Catering/Hospitality - indoor & out door. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essentials. Computer literacy and oversees experience is a must.

Job Description:

·        As a Chief Steward is Accountable  to enforce the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processing facilities, the role will include key responsibilities with the assistance of Supervisors & the team such as:

·        To clean food processing facilities, storage rooms, walk in fridge’s, kitchen utensils, immediate corridors and holding areas as well as the operation equipment.

·        Assigns Kitchen Helper and other non cooking employees to such activities as dish washing and silver cleaning.

·        Inspects kitchens, workrooms, and equipment for cleanliness and order.

·        Posts time and production records for employees.

·        Observes and evaluates employees' performance to devise methods for improving efficiency and guard against theft and wastage.

·        Takes inventories of china, silverware, and glassware.

·        Reports shortages and requisitions replacement of equipment.

·        Perform any other task assigned by his superior within the scope of the job.

·        Develop and maintain good working relationship with the client through pleasant attitude and manners. Maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with all his superiors and peers at all times.

·        Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management system.

·        Ensure that all accidents, fire, loss, theft and damages are reported to superiors immediately and proper procedures are followed.  In addition, where appropriate, take remedial action.

·        Adhere to the QHSE rules and regulations of client.

·        Use correct PPE and maintain them in good condition.

·        Ensure proper usage and maintenance of all equipment at his disposal.

·        Ensure that the place of work is kept clean and tidy at all times.

·        Maintain the highest possible standards of personal hygiene.

·        Attend tool box meetings and other training events to enhance knowledge and awareness.

·        Maintain and communicate proper documents of all the activities for review & Audit
