The SCRUM Master will be the facilitator for the analytics and product development teams.  The primary areas of focus for SCRUM Master will be responsible to facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. The SCRUM Master will be responsible to support and coach the SCRUM Team to successfully complete theirs sprints. As a Scrum Master candidate is custodian for the Agile process and ensures all scrum processes are used and applied. Responsible for facilitating the Scrum team and accountable for removing barriers to successful implementation and keeps the team focuses on the tasks at hand. Assists the Product Owner/Business Owners to maximize the productivity. Maintain backlog and release plans, publish reports to ensure the product owner is updated about the team’s progress.

The Scrum Master role facilitate Scrum ceremonies (grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand ups,) Demonstrate in-depth expertise in Agile methodology and best practices including Scrum Recommends process improvements to increase team's productivity Provide leadership, direction and consulting for project in alignment with applicable frameworks Provide guidance to teams on Scrum values, practices and rules.

Responsibilities:
  • Serves as scrum master for one or more teams
  • Integrate Agile principles into team practices and work products
  • Ensures team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery
  • Proactively identify impediments and appropriately resolve using network of peers and formal channels
  • Supporting the Product Owner, with respect to grooming and maintaining the backlog
  • Work with Product Owner to convert Business requirements into user stories
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Understand domain architecture and upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Coaches the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
    Supports Team building and Team development by utilizing the abilities and skills of individuals, and fostering a Feedback culture
  • Implement solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence tool suite
  • Develop and maintain advanced database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial and operational analysis and/or reporting
Qualifications
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Strongly oriented towards leadership and soft skills including moderation, facilitation, presentation, continual improvement, communication and conflict management
  • High level understanding of software architecture and technologies to provide context to management of projects
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and at least one of the following: TFS or Jira,
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience
  • Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification or PMIs Agile Certified Professional (ACP)Passionate about learning new technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both a technical and non-technical manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with various industry verticals (e.g., insurance, financial services, technology)
  • Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling gaps in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Shall understand and abide by the organizations’ information security policy and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information assets.
  • Shall report incidents related to security of information to concerned authorities.
